Building on our success at KS4, our fully inclusive Sixth Form can offer you the chance to be prepared for the next step in your personal development, whether that is towards university, an apprenticeship or the world of work.
Our identity as a Catholic Sixth Form means that you will be welcomed into a community where the student is at the centre of everything that we do.
You will be provided with a purposeful, friendly and supportive learning environment in which to grow academically, personally and socially. Our pastoral team is based within the Sixth Form building and are available to help students at any time during the day.
We offer a wide range of A Level and Level 3 BTEC courses that build on your previous successes, whilst preparing you for the increasingly competitive university and apprenticeship markets. Students can opt for a combination of 3 A levels and / or BTEC subjects, in some cases 4. The EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) is also offered to all students allowing the opportunity to develop vital skills in research and project management. The majority of lessons take place in our Sixth Form centre, with social spaces in our common room and independent learning taking place in our Learning Resource Centre.
Our highly qualified teachers are experts in their subjects and you will be challenged to be creative and innovative ; but more than this you will be given the chance to build transferable skills that will make you stand out from the crowd in whatever you choose to do.
We also encourage students to participate in many other aspects of Sixth Form Life. This may be through engaging in one of the many enrichment activities which are on offer, or taking a leadership role supporting younger students. We give our students the opportunity to develop personally as well as academically, as they prepare for life beyond Sixth Form. Our personal development programme is designed to include PSHE, careers, finance and employability skills and our annual Futures event is a highlight in our Sixth Form calendar.
Our Sixth Form students are a credit to our school and we are really proud of their achievements. We look forward to meeting you.
