How to Apply
Applications open on Thursday 15th October 2026
Register with Applicaa and complete your application online.
Submit your completed application by Sunday 31st January 2027.
Successful applicants will be interviewed between February and April 2027 followed by the Information and Advice Evening on Thursday 29th April 2027.

Check your email
Continue to check the email address that you provided us with on your application for updates about the progress of your application.
Attend an interview
For external applicants, we will aim for interviews to take place during the middle of February.
For internal applicants, you will be interviewed during year 11 consultation towards the end of March.
Information about the interview process will be sent out via email.
Check for a conditional offer
After your interview you will be made a conditional offer based on you meeting the entry criteria, the course being viable to run and there being spaces available. You will be advised of this via email
Advise us of any changes
If you would like to update your application (eg. with a change of address or course choices) then get in touch contact@thornleigh.bolton.sch.uk
If you change your mind about joining us and wish to withdraw your application then please also get in touch.
