On the 14th July we welcomed over 120 Year 11 students to our Sixth Form Taster Day. The event gave prospective students an insight into life as a post-16 student, helping them bridge the gap between GCSEs and their next steps at Thornleigh Sixth Form.
Students were able to control their own timetables, attending three lessons in the subjects they are most interested in. These sessions offered a true reflection of the academic demands and independence of Sixth Form study.
During morning break, students gathered in the Common Room to socialise with future classmates and chat with staff over a complimentary breakfast.
The day finished in the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) with a team quiz and a reflection on what makes our Salesian community so unique.
With the taster day completed we are now on the countdown to the first day of Year 12 which is Wednesday 2nd September.
To all the students who joined us, thank you for your participation and enthusiasm. We cannot wait to welcome you into the Thornleigh Sixth Form family this September!
